We are changing our internal matrix of energy consumption seeking to mitigate the environmental impact and rely on the circular economy
For this we are investing in renewable sources, energy efficiency and modifications in our boilers to reduce the use of non-renewable fossil fuels. We are already beginning the installation of photovoltaic solar energy generation systems in our plants that will be able to supply the daily electrical energy that we use in our activities. At the same time, we are incorporating automation technology to optimize consumption in all our operations, as well as heat exchangers.
In addition to this, we are modifying our boilers to use recovered oils as an alternative fuel to Fuel Oil according to regulations and DINAMA requirements.
We are executing an investment plan focused on mitigating environmental impact and relying on the circular economy. To do this, from the energy point of view we have optimized a large number of points that we detail below:
- Our Colonia Nicolich and Barros Blancos plants will have a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system with the capacity to cover daily electricity consumption by mid-year.
- We have installed heat exchangers to store the asphalt at low temperatures and reduce energy losses. We are also recovering heat in our productions and thus reducing energy consumption.
- We modify our boilers to use recovered oils as an alternative fuel to Fuel Oil according to regulations and DINAMA requirements.
- We are making investments in temperature control systems for our tanks as well as in total insulation of tanks and pipes.
- We are analyzing the use of other waste generated as an alternative fuel.
We will continue to focus on meeting our Sustainable Development Goals both in our processes and in our products.
