XIX IBWC IN COLOMBIA
Week from 27 to 30 November was held in Medellin, Colombia Iberolatinoamericano the XIX Congress of Asphalt - WHAT - where they met about 800 technicians linked to the asphalt paving.
During the 3 days of technical sessions, keynotes and sessions e-poster the latest developments worldwide were presented touching on topics such as nanotechnology, development of new performance tests of asphalt mixtures, innovations in binders and paving techniques weighing very important for cold, warm and temperate technologies.
Uruguay, through the BITAFAL group, Had a very good presence in the technical sessions presenting three oral work and e-poster. In turn Quim. Santiago Kröger, moderated one of the technical sessions.
Congress had participants from more than 20 countries and the highlight of this edition was the great Uruguayan presence of both construction companies, suppliers, consultants and MTOP.
As for social activities they were carried out classic cocktails welcome and farewell dinner and the Day of Integration or Confraternity that took place in the Peñol and Guatapé, a typical paisa village of rural Colombia .
