Whitetopping in Route 3 Consortium INCOCI - CUJO
Improvements are being made on the stretch of Route 3 between the city of Trinidad and Paso del Puerto. The work done by the consortium INCOCI-Cujo is running a retreading concrete using the technique of whitetopping attached.
In a total of 52km a concrete layer thickness 14cm on the existing pavement asphalt will tend, which previously receive the recoating is milled to recompose the transverse profile, texturized to ensure adhesion with the new concrete, hidrolavada and swept with compressed air.
The consortium is responsible for the whole process: grinding stone, sand extraction, design and manufacture of the concrete mix, transportation, laying, and curing joint sawing.
Regarding the concrete paste, it is a mixture of 5MPa characteristic flexural strength, containing microfibers and macrofibers polypropylene, which gives the material strength values of plastic cracking and toughness which naturally has, reaching develop a minimal residual resistance 1MPa after having fissured by reaching its breaking strength.
To date, it has already paved 10km, and it is expected that the entire section is completed within twelve months. In banquinas a layer of granular material and subsequently CBR80 double bituminous treatment will be placed. new signaling is also installed vertically, and the horizontal signal will voiced edge.
