ROAD INVESTMENT WILL CHANGE THE REALITY OF THE COUNTRY'S ROUTES
Routes within the country are being prioritized, emphasizing those that connect the territory from East to West, such as 14, 20 and 26
In 2021, more than 500 million dollars were invested in road works. The amount will double this year and, at the end of the five-year period, it will reach 3.3 billion. This investment will make it possible to change the road situation in the country, with maintenance works, new routes and changes in quality standards, informed Minister José Luis Falero.
Falero explained that the routes in the interior of the country are being prioritized, emphasizing those that connect the territory from East to West, such as 14, 20 and 26. It is also aimed at rehabilitating those routes that are important to generate a greater development in the northern departments, such as Route 6. Various execution modalities are used, trying to be efficient in the use of Uruguayan resources, he said.
