JOINTS IN NEW BRIDGES TACUAREMBÓ
The Saceem-Cujo consortium has relied on the Bitafal Group in the supply and installation of anchored neoprene seals new suspension bridges that were built in Paso del Bote in the city of Tacuarembó.
The construction of two new bridges were made with existing (dating from 1930) in the Laguna de las Lavanderas where Patria Gaucha is performed. They consist of reinforced concrete arches 60 m span and 12m high guyed by a rigid board.
To withstand the intense movements, SC-160 type joints were installed in the stirrups and SC-230 in the central stack. These boards are designed for maximum movement of 160 and 230 mm. In addition maintenance of existing bridges which were installed together type SC-42 they were performed.
The consortium has also relied on our company for waterproofing membrane RUBERSAM board as we reported in our previous newsletter.
The two new bridges 60 m and 120 m long on Arroyo Tacuarembó have a road width of 8 m and a path 2.5m complement existing bridges, traffic circulating dual carriageway in one direction on themselves.
