SELF-ADHESIVE BITABAND: EASY SOLUTION FOR SEALING

New product to seal cracks and cold joints in pavement construction.

The new tape BITABAND AUTOADHESIVA It is a highly polymer modified asphalt presented in rolls of 10 m long and in two alternatives of width, 5 and 8 cm. It is an easy solution to apply in the construction of cold joints in asphalt pavements and it also ensures their sealing, significantly reducing cracks in the axis of the roads.

The tape is applied cold and when placing the new mix, the modified asphalt melts, adhering and sealing the mix in an area of difficult compaction such as longitudinal joints or against curbs and culverts.

BITABAND It can also be used for bridge-type fissure sealing only requiring a torch to dry the fissure for the application.

Tape BITABAND AUTOADHESIVA seals and waterproofs where required a quick and easy placement manually and without the need to heat the material in construction joints, fissures and cracks. The main uses of the tape are:

On asphalt pavements to seal cracks up to 5 mm wide.
In cold joints during the construction of pavements for sealing and adhesion, for example with an adjacent folder or in the joints with cords, culverts, etc.
In the construction of elastic bridge joints for fixing the reinforcement sheet and waterproofing the joint.

For its application, the tape is simply unrolled along the fissure / joint with the release paper facing down, it is left in the sun for a few minutes to increase the adherence and it is placed from one end of the fissure / joint to the other pressing it. by hand or with a hand roller. The release paper is then removed and released to traffic.

The tape is presented in 10 meter long rolls with release paper, packed in cardboard cylinders containing up to 6 rolls.

NEW SEALS SEALING COLD - BITAFLEX PU

CITEVI has developed a new joint sealant applied cold and has high durability and strength.

Sealant Bitaflex PU is a liquid sealant at room temperature in black, of two components formulated with asphalt and polyurethane elastomers which cure when mixed to form a very strong self-leveling material of high elongation properties and good toughness, weathering and as a wide variety of chemicals such as fuels and oils.

It can be used for waterproof sealing of high strength and adhesion in cracks and control joints and expansion in concrete floors (roads, warehouses, factories, etc.) as well as for expansion joints in bridges.

Among the advantages of this new sealant we include:

It is applied at room temperature without heating.

Weatherproof, extraordinary resistance to rain and sunlight.
Resistant to chemical attack.
It maintains its properties (adhesion and elasticity) for a long time indoors or outdoors.

Its presentation is in metal pails of 20 kg. Tests were conducted on some bridges and the Port of La Paloma with very good results, we attach images below.

BRIDGE ON BOARD Route 8 - Pando

Saceem entrusted BITAFAL RENTALS running boards of the bridge over the A ° Pando on Route 8 within the duplication of road that the company is conducting COLIER. SEALS Pando

INAUGURATION CANAL BRIDGE ANDREONI

Last July 11 in the presence of the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Victor Rossi and Mayor Rocha, Anibal Pereyra, the new bridge over the Canal Andreoni on Route 9 he was inaugurated.

The Techint SACI the new bridge built in just 7 months after a temporary seriously affect the existing one. After 60,000 hours without accidents and strict work schedule was inaugurated in the presence of several residents of the Chaplet, MTOP Engineers, elected officials and colleagues in the field. SEALS anchored in the new bridge ANDREONI

Techint relied on BITAFAL RENTALS for installing anchored neoprene gaskets on the new bridge over Andreoni canal at kilometer 314 of Route 9 at Spa La Coronilla. Boards are placed SC-80 type movements that support 80 mm.

As we reported in Bulletin # 81 Making Roads, execution of work comes within the stipulated time frame. It is a bridge of 90 meters long with a roadway of 9.20 m wide and pedestrian path 2 meters wide. (SEE NOTE: "New bridge over Andreoni canal")

The estimated date for its opening is on July 11.

JOINTS IN NEW BRIDGES TACUAREMBÓ

The Saceem-Cujo consortium has relied on the Bitafal Group in the supply and installation of anchored neoprene seals new suspension bridges that were built in Paso del Bote in the city of Tacuarembó.

The construction of two new bridges were made with existing (dating from 1930) in the Laguna de las Lavanderas where Patria Gaucha is performed. They consist of reinforced concrete arches 60 m span and 12m high guyed by a rigid board.

To withstand the intense movements, SC-160 type joints were installed in the stirrups and SC-230 in the central stack. These boards are designed for maximum movement of 160 and 230 mm. In addition maintenance of existing bridges which were installed together type SC-42 they were performed.

The consortium has also relied on our company for waterproofing membrane RUBERSAM board as we reported in our previous newsletter.

The two new bridges 60 m and 120 m long on Arroyo Tacuarembó have a road width of 8 m and a path 2.5m complement existing bridges, traffic circulating dual carriageway in one direction on themselves.

It really is a unique work in the country and we are very proud to have been part of this project consolidating our company as leading solutions for bridges together.

SPARE SEALS ANCHORED ON BRIDGE Alfredo Zitarrosa

Tracoviax Company S.A. trust in Bitafal Rentals for replacing anchored together the new Route 1 bridge over the River St. Lucia.

Las mismas son las juntas mas grandes que existen en un puente en el país, lo que implica un gran trabajo tanto en el retiro de las viejas juntas como en la colocación de las nuevas. Se están colocando juntas SC-230 y SC-330, de los cuales cada módulo de junta pesa entre 350 y 450 Kg por lo que debe realizarse mediante montacargas y personal especializado.

The work consists in removing gaskets Transflex 900 and 1200 existing along with their bolts, leveling and cleaning of the support surface, placing a PVC membrane, placing the new seals Rubberpar SC-230 and SC-330 along with new anchors and making transitions on both sides of the joint by a joint type JUNTASTRECH Elastic made with selected aggregates and sealant BITAFLEX SA-30.

The company is confident Workvial Bitafal Rentalsfor replacing joints 4 bridges from Route 6 at the height of San Gabriel. The works are being executed with average yields of 12 linear meters per day with a high quality finish.

All jobs are running full board cleaning and repairing the edges with high strength mortar. The gasket being manufactured in situ with 3mm plate member, precoated stone asphalt sealer type SA30 as it indicated in standard IRAM 6838. Termination and sealing surface is being prepared with the same sealer and selected gravillín.
