New product to seal cracks and cold joints in pavement construction.

The new tape BITABAND AUTOADHESIVA It is a highly polymer modified asphalt presented in rolls of 10 m long and in two alternatives of width, 5 and 8 cm. It is an easy solution to apply in the construction of cold joints in asphalt pavements and it also ensures their sealing, significantly reducing cracks in the axis of the roads.
The tape is applied cold and when placing the new mix, the modified asphalt melts, adhering and sealing the mix in an area of ​​difficult compaction such as longitudinal joints or against curbs and culverts.
BITABAND It can also be used for bridge-type fissure sealing only requiring a torch to dry the fissure for the application.
Tape BITABAND AUTOADHESIVA seals and waterproofs where required a quick and easy placement manually and without the need to heat the material in construction joints, fissures and cracks. The main uses of the tape are:
  • On asphalt pavements to seal cracks up to 5 mm wide.
  • In cold joints during the construction of pavements for sealing and adhesion, for example with an adjacent folder or in the joints with cords, culverts, etc.
  • In the construction of elastic bridge joints for fixing the reinforcement sheet and waterproofing the joint.
For its application, the tape is simply unrolled along the fissure / joint with the release paper facing down, it is left in the sun for a few minutes to increase the adherence and it is placed from one end of the fissure / joint to the other pressing it. by hand or with a hand roller. The release paper is then removed and released to traffic.
The tape is presented in 10 meter long rolls with release paper, packed in cardboard cylinders containing up to 6 rolls.

We have a stereo microscope to see the quality of emulsification and micelle performance level.

We are moving the way for emulsions level of performance (EPG) which will be the specifications of the future.
