The Ruta 7 Foundation together with the Faculty of Engineering and with the support of the Congress of Mayors and the CURE organized a Seminar on the advances of methodologies and techniques for the improvement and rehabilitation of rural roads on November 17.
It was held at the new headquarters of the CURE (Eastern Regional University Center) in the city of Treinta y Tres and in which various technicians from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, the Faculty of Engineering, and Fundación Ruta 7, consultants and Construction Directors of various Departmental Governments.
The topics covered ranged from the design of pavements with low traffic volume, stabilization with hydraulic binders such as lime, ash and Portland cement to the experiences gathered in regional events such as the 1st Argentine Congress of Rural Roads and the Basic Roads Course held in Chile.
More than 60 technicians from Municipalities, Roads, companies and the University participated in the seminar.
At the end of it, an interesting exchange was made between those present on how the stabilization techniques with cement still do not enter the range of possibilities for rural roads despite the incorporation of technology at the national level and how it should be done so that it is done. reality.
