CILA 2024 ARRIVES IN GRANADA, SPAIN... AND BITAFAL IS THE PROTAGONIST!

The next edition of the Ibero-Latin American Asphalt Congress, one of the largest road industry events in the world, will take place next April in Granada, Spain.

From April 22 to 26, the most prominent Ibero-American professionals in the field will meet, presenting research and technological developments, in a fundamental sector for the social and economic growth of the region.

For BITAFAL it is a great pride to be the promoter of this Congress with our Technical Director Santiago Kröger participating as CILA Delegate and as a reviewer in the Technical Committee of said event. On the other hand, we will be present with various technical works and collaborating in the moderation of sessions during it.
At the same time, we are promoting the participation of Uruguayan specialists from the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP) by sponsoring a contest to bring the authors who have been selected to participate in it. With great pride we can say that Uruguay will be the protagonist since it has sent 15 technical works, being among the Top 5 of countries that have sent the most communications.
We share with you the CILA preparation podcast, where Santiago addresses advances in paving technology for low-traffic roads (BIT), one of the topics that will surely be present during the congress.

TRAINING CYCLE ON ASPHALT EMULSIONS

TRAINING CYCLE ON ASPHALT EMULSIONS

BITAFAL begins with a new training cycle in the use of asphalt emulsions and high-performance surface treatments.
On September 15, the second training day was held for technical and operational personnel of the MTOP Regionals and construction companies.
On this occasion we were accompanied by regional directors, district managers, assistants, engineers, operators, crew managers, and truck drivers from Regionals 2, 4 and 10.

The training was led by Claudio, Ignacio and Santiago Kröger, and took place in the company's offices with the objective of providing precise information about the products, usefulness, uses and benefits of these to MTOP officials, who are in direct contact with that type of materials.

The meeting had a theoretical and a practical part, as well as a space for the exchange of information and concerns. This initiative is part of a training plan that Bitafal promotes and is aimed at decision makers and actors who are direct and indirect users of the different inputs produced by the company.
It is an action to approach customers that is part of a broader strategy to disseminate advantages and benefits to publicize the work carried out by the company in production, innovation, research and development.

We appreciate and strongly support this type of CIU initiatives as they open the panorama on new approaches

We appreciate and strongly support this type of CIU initiatives as they open the panorama on new approaches

Last Tuesday, March 29, in a day held at LATU, we participated in a training session with several companies and entrepreneurs in the sector where we were dialoguing and discussing the main problems we face in this changing global context.

This is a day held within the framework of the “Impulsa Industria” project of the Chamber of Industries of Uruguay (CIU) and supported by the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP), whose objective is to generate industrial development projects, generate capabilities within the company and link various stakeholders in the sector.

With the help of a group of experts and through group dynamics, we worked with various tools to be able to define an innovation challenge where, in a systematic and orderly manner, it could be resolved in order to transform those demands, problems or drivers of change into added value for the company and for the client.

We appreciate and strongly support these types of CIU initiatives since they open the panorama to new points of view, strengthen relationships at an industrial level, provide better work tools, and above all help us to continue fine-tuning our innovation processes on which we are so focused.
