The preliminary program of both Congresses that will be held simultaneously from November 20 to 25 at the Hotel Enjoy Punta del Este is ready. There will be 4 sessions in 3 rooms simultaneously to share the latest advances in the world of asphalt pavements. We continue expanding the commercial expo in exterior areas since in interior areas it has been sold out for several months now, national and international companies continue to join in one of the most important commercial exhibitions of all the CILA held. At the same time, we are expanding the commercial sessions since the initially planned ones are complete.

The commercial exhibition is complete and we are looking for more places to expand it since there are many companies interested in participating in this event. On the other hand, social activities, such as the day of Integration or the walks of the group of companions, are being finished outlining. Deadline for presentation of technical papers – July 29

Today is the deadline to submit the full papers, so all of us who submit our abstracts are working hard for the final delivery.

The Special Conferences are confirmed and in the next few days the Informative Bulletin with the details of the event will be available.

This last month has been, above all, very significant in terms of stand reservations. We can say with great joy that we already have almost 100% of the places reserved.

There is time until June 29 to register with a special discount

The organization of the XXI CILA and the 13th Uruguayan Road Congress continues at an excellent pace, on April 18 the deadline for the delivery of abstracts ended, and the final number of papers presented is 353, with very good participation from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Spain and Uruguay as data to highlight. For the 13th CVU, 40 technical works were presented on transportation, road safety and bridges, among other topics.

Regarding the stands, 70% has already been confirmed and reserved by important companies in the sector, so we are more than satisfied with the great interest that we notice and the participants that we will be counting on.

Another great novelty is that we already have several keynote speakers confirmed. We tell you a little about them below:

Steve Patrick: Engineer at the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) 10 years ago. He has a master's degree in pavement technology. He has been involved in bituminous hazard research and author of the 2018 edition of “Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology Part 4k: Bituminous Hazards” which is used as a design and selection guide throughout Australia.

Jim Jenkins: South African civil engineer. Research professor at SANRAL in pavement engineering and professor at the University of Stellenbosch. He has published more than 150 publications between books, magazines and articles. He is a specialist in road rehabilitation with a focus on cold recycling including stabilization with foamed bitumen or emulsion.

The closing date for receipt of technical summaries is extended to April 18

Being one of the main organizers, we feel very satisfied with the fruits of the work that is being done and with the support of all those who are involved in this area.

As of yesterday, hundreds of technical papers from 22 countries have been submitted. Don't stay out and present the latest advances in asphalt and paving techniques.

We want to highlight the participation of Brazil mainly as well as that of Mexico, Chile, Argentina and Spain that will have numerous delegations and will not go unnoticed in this CILA.
Among the most outstanding topics we find: asphalt materials, hot asphalt and topics related to eco-efficiency and pavement conservation.

With regard to participation with stands, almost 60% of the spaces are already reserved by important companies in the field.

As you will see, this CILA has already started, it has a shape and it is happening. We will keep you updated in future newsletters.
