XVII Argentine Congress on Road AND TRANSIT

A great Uruguayan delegation participated in the Argentine Congress on Road and Traffic, held from 24 to 28 October in the city of Rosario, Santa Fe.

During the 5 intense days, more than two thousand people participated in several events simultaneously as the XXXVIII Meeting of Asphalt organized by the CPA, the III International Seminar on Concrete Roads organized by the ICPA, the XI ITS International Congress and 9th Expovial Argentina, among others.
over 90 special lectures were presented by 86 lecturers (47 of them international) and about 100 technical papers by 435 professionals and technicians from 16 different countries. He Bitafal group He was present with a talk Qco. Santiago Kröger on recent mixing sections with modified crumb rubber asphalt made in the country.

Besides Uruguay presented Ing. Luis Lazo on the status of the national road and Eng. Leonardo Behak and Ing. Federica Selves on a comparative resistance to unconfined compression as to different ways of curing and use as parameter pavement design.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Transport, Guillermo Dietrich, governor of Santa Fe, the Mayor of Rosario and all the authorities of the National Roads Authority, the Provincial Roads, PIARC, the AAC, the CPA and other organizations linked to the field.
One of the most important points of the Congress was the presentation by the new authorities of the National Highways Plan Works of the new structure, investments in sophisticated regional laboratories and the presentation of the new General Pliego updated with the recommendations of the CPA as to asphalt mixtures. A great job you have to head to the Ing. Juan Campana and Alejandro Bisio.

In turn during the Congress themes such as rural roads, sustainable mobility, multimodal transport, network management, road projects and major roadworks between 3 and 5 rooms simultaneously treated.
Beyond academics, was very important the presence of friends, Uruguay and the region, where experiences were shared and narrowed ties in various opportunities offered distended Congress.
Always worth participating and congratulate the colleagues who made a hole in their efforts to learn and make friends.

CAPESEAL on Route 55

CAPESEAL on Route 55

The development of technology Capeseal continues to grow in Uruguay.

recently we visited the stretch of Route 55 Capeseal in the company by Emilio Alvarez Diaz S.A. and could verify the quality of surface finish achieved with the cold microsurfacing on a simple surface treatment.

The microsurfacing was executed by the company R & K Engineers using Bitaflex Micro emulsion 62 P25 was adjusted to regulate the cutting time due to weather and the type of water used conditions.
The result is visible, complete homogeneity across the surface, both in appearance and in the macrotexture is achieved. Besides excellent adhesion it is verified by the simple surface treatment.

Cold Recycling Wirtgen Group Seminar | December 2015 - Sao Paulo, Brazil.

It was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, last December, a technical seminar organized by cold recycling Wirtgen Group.Uruguayans participated more than 15 technicians of various construction companies, MTOP, of Tradinter and Bitafal group. There were also delegations from various countries in South America, reaching about 200 participants.

A very interesting experience thus acquired knowledge, as both made the links between the Uruguayan delegation, as with other delegations present. It is very important that all couples involved in the development of technology in the country have participated, showing interest and commitment to these first test sections in Uruguay are successful.

Portland cement transport in special tanks | Strengthening the fleet.

In the search for better solutions, it is that ERGONT TRANSPORT to its fleet included eight new multipurpose hoppers for portland cement carrying and lime for use vial. This incorporation is carried out accompanying the development in technologies URUGUAY stabilized roads and cold recycling in situ.

These hoppers Spitzer brand, imported from Germany, are specialized units in transporting high capacity powders; devices have automatic loading and unloading for safety and prevention of contamination of the products to be transported.

::TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS::
  • Wineries resistant aluminum 45 m3.
  • Carrying capacity of 31 tons.
  • Units equipped with air suspension, brakes ABS & EBS and localized GPS.
Committed to the development and evolution of the national road construction, it is that these units are available that provide transportation services, logistics and operations of hydraulic binders.

First stages of cold recycling with foam asphalt | Bringing Theory to Practice

The first sections of pavement recycling foamed bitumen are a reality and are projected as an economic and sustainable solution for the rehabilitation of roads.

Since incorporation by BITAFAL RENTALS of the first recycling train in situ in Uruguay in 2013, it has advanced very quickly in the national road system to incorporate technology in all its variants.

Recently they have begun to implement the first sections in situ foamed bitumen. The company Hernandez & Gonzalez has carried out the first tests on Route 12 and is starting this March with work on Route 3 after several months of design laboratory and learning with South African technicians who have come to assist with the implementation of the technology.

Moreover the company CVC has recently completed a stretch of Route 36 in the department of Canelones, with great success. He BITAFAL group He has supported projects in both asphalt and logistics sion with facilities and equipment for the proposed Route 36

We thank our customers for the continued trust placed in the company to realize the implementation of new technologies in Uruguay.
