World Of Asphalt 2018

Bitafal group was present once more in the world's most important asphalt event, this time at the George Brown Convention Center in Houston gigantic industrial city.

For 6 to 8 March was held the annual event World of Asphalt Houston, with a significant international presence of different industry players and roads. Also coincided with the event AGG1 Aggregates Academy & ExpoWith more than 200 aggregates and paving talks and an exhibition showing the world the latest technologies and innovations in equipment, products and services related to aggregates.

Houston fue sede este año del evento World of Asphalt, justamente una ciudad muy influenciada por el oro negro, que desde su descubrimiento en 1901, se ha convertido en su pilar económico más importante. Houston hoy posee 5.000 empresas relacionadas a la energía y la ciudad es considerada por muchos como la ‘Capital de Energía del Mundo’. Cualquiera que haya transitado por esa ciudad o ve las imágenes de internet, se da cuenta de su magnitud.

A modo informativo, Houston cuenta además con el complejo médico más grande del mundo, el Texas Medical Center (TMC), con sus 54 instituciones afiliadas y sus 15 hospitales; y con el mayor centro de investigación espacial en el mundo, el Space Center Houston de la NASA. Incluso “Houston” se jacta de ser la primer palabra dicha desde la luna en 1969.

SAMI ONE BOX 8

TECHINT again trusts BITAFAL RENTALS the execution of a SAMI membrane.

Current work involves milling the modified folder 3 cm, application of the emulsion P40 SAMI membrane and subsequent recoating of 5 cm with conventional asphalt.

RECYCLED foamed bitumen - ROUTE 102

HIGH PERFORMANCE EMULSION -BITAFLEX IRRIGATION 65 P40 -

XIX IBWC IN COLOMBIA

Week from 27 to 30 November was held in Medellin, Colombia Iberolatinoamericano the XIX Congress of Asphalt - WHAT - where they met about 800 technicians linked to the asphalt paving.

During the 3 days of technical sessions, keynotes and sessions e-poster the latest developments worldwide were presented touching on topics such as nanotechnology, development of new performance tests of asphalt mixtures, innovations in binders and paving techniques weighing very important for cold, warm and temperate technologies.

Uruguay, through the BITAFAL group, Had a very good presence in the technical sessions presenting three oral work and e-poster. In turn Quim. Santiago Kröger, moderated one of the technical sessions.

Congress had participants from more than 20 countries and the highlight of this edition was the great Uruguayan presence of both construction companies, suppliers, consultants and MTOP.

As for social activities they were carried out classic cocktails welcome and farewell dinner and the Day of Integration or Confraternity that took place in the Peñol and Guatapé, a typical paisa village of rural Colombia . During this conference they could strengthen ties of friendship with colleagues in the region and exchange on technical aspects of our industry.

Dear friends, it ends another year of work and effort for our sector that has felt the vagaries of politics in recent years.

11th CONGRESS OF ROADS URUGUAYA

Last 8.9 and 10 November LATU received more than 350 players in the Uruguayan road in its biannual Congress.

Congress had several new features such as new commercial exhibitors, including a section on the outside for big teams and presentation of technical papers by e-posters mode.

After the opening ceremony, Eng. Juan Campana, Director of Engineering Argentina National Roads Authority, held a conference on "The new management National Roads Authority of Argentina: technical update" showing great work being done in the neighboring country roads.

Within the thematic blocks, more than 30 technical papers were presented on Transport, Road Safety, Structures, Management and Maintenance as well as floors.

Shlomo Liberman of Israel "Bridges of prestressed continuous beams" and Dr. Ing. Luis Guillermo Loría of LANAMME of Costa Rica with two Conferences "Application performance testing design blends" Y "Evaluation of rheological properties of modified".

Besides a round table held on "Road Maintenance" where different visions 20 years of the first CREMA contracts with participants by the MTOP, contractors, and consultants were exposed IDB.

At the close of Congress there was a special session on the new edition of the Book "Status of Roads Uruguaya"After almost 14 years without being edited and awards to the best works by Block.
